Queen Guinevere was wedded to King Arthur at a very young age; a marriage of convenience it being profitable to both her father and the young King  . Merlin the magician advised against it but once King Arthur saw how beautiful and sweet she was nothing could change his mind. Queen Guinevere learnt to love her kind and gentle husband and to respect him as her King, but many years later when Lancelot, dashing and courageous, came to court she realized what true love really was. Queen Guinevere and  Sir Lancelot, King Arthur's most skilled knight and best friend, fell passionately in love. They were both heavily dismayed  as neither wished to betray the good King's trust. In an effort to vanquish this terrible love, Lancelot escaped into the deep forest where without his love he went temporarily insane. It was there that the lovesick Lady Elaine used her magic to try and win him.

         King Arthur loved his wife and friend so much that he would have consented to their love affair which seemed  stronger than law or reason just to keep them both safely by his side. It  might all have ended happily had it not been for Modred, the son of King Arthur and Arthur's scheming sister, Morgan La Fe. Modred hated his father and by breeding  jealousy and hatred he successfully brought on the demise of King Arthur's kingdom.

        This is the reason for the name Lancelot's Lady, this gown would have been called Queen Guinevere but that has already been done. May your love with your future husband though much happier be every bit as passionate as that of Sir Lancelot and his Lady Guinevere.   

Description 

        Lancelot's lady has a truly medieval look. It is shown in champagne crushed velvet with gold lace trimmings heavily hand beaded with dainty faux pearls. Champagne hand beaded baroque lace adorn the sleeves and hem of the gown.

      The breasts come with sewn in support for your comfort. You will not have to wear a bra in this gown. If you wish it is possible to have your gown made with extra padding or push up.

      As with our other gowns, color and style options are available:

You may choose another color for the champagne crushed velvet, the pearl and crystal hand beading or the lace trimmings. You may also choose to have it without the lace under sleeves or lace ruffle along the hem.

       The Lancelot's Lady is fully lined with a light silk to give it a cool satin comfort. An optional closed back is available upon request.

     You may choose the length of your train and if you desire free movement it can be bustled up in a becoming fashion.  An optional beaded lace over train made from our Delicate golden Lace is available on request.
